Sant'Ana
Church
A
strikingly beautiful building which is an
important part of the town’s local heritage.
The church was founded in 1740, and is considered
to be the first symbol of Christianity erected
by the local residents.
The church’s simple beauty, and 16th.
Century architectural style, makes it a major
attraction for tourists.
It has a privileged location on a hill top
between Ossos and Armação Beaches,
with a view to the Yacht Club in front. Behind
the chapel is Búzios’ only cemetery.
